At the request of several music therapists in March 2010, I began working to create an incrementally weight differentiated set of maraca like instruments for strength training. A definite requirement was that a music aspect had to be involved. Thus it became a quest to create "strength training with a shake."

The search quickly grew beyond "maraca like." It soon produced "dumbells with a shake" as well as "midline weights" also with a shake. Then some parts can just be used as plain shakers.

Most importantly, it became a system of "parts" that can be assembled in a wide variety of ways. The individual components are presented below, followed by various ways to configure them.

Finally, various "bundles" are offered at a 5% discount to the sum of the prices of the parts included in each bundle.

STRENGTH TRAINING WITH A SHAKE COMPONENTS
What distiguishes these components for strength training cannot be seen. It is apparent that the handles look the same, or similar, as do the shaker ends and the add-on weights. The difference is inside each component. The "inside" part provides the weight differentiation. This is true for each component, except for the protective ball end and the threaded connector.
Components are assembled by screwing the end of a handle into the threaded insert on either end of a shaker or add-on weight. An add-on weight is added to a shaker end by using an add-on connector. The Ball End Protector is used on any handle end that is not used to hold a shaker end or add-on weight.
